Friends are welcome

Workshop: Relationships 101 - Building Healthy Relationships

St. Edward's Church

9401 Nesbitt Avenue South

Bloomington

Back in October, Karl Mulle, M.Div., M.A.C.P, spoke to us about "Why Women are so Strange and Men so Weird". We received a lot of positive feedback and asked Karl if he would speak to us again.

This time the topic is Relationships 101 - Building Healthy Relationships.  Karl will discuss communicating effectively, understanding relationship styles, working effectively with others, emotional intelligence, etc.  There will be a lot more time for questions too.  It will be like "Stump the Therapist".  You can either ask them during the discussion or fill out a card anonymously in the back of the room and drop it into the question box. Although there will be a handout, we recommend bringing a pen with to take notes.

Should be interesting again!  Karl is a great speaker and we are sure that if you attend you will learn a thing or two and definitely laugh!  You will also see some new faces since we anticipate 150+ people to attend.

We ask that everyone bring food or personal hygiene items to donate to a local food shelf as the price of admission.  SVTC is donating the food/hygiene products to VEAP which is an organization that runs a food shelf for low-income families in the South Metro area.  SVTC will be picking up the cost of the workshop.

We need about 15 - 20 volunteers to bring refreshments (bars, cookies, brownies, muffins, donuts, cartons of juice, bottles of cold pop, etc).  We ask that you arrive at 8:30am so people have time to get some refreshments before Karl begins.  If you can help out with this, please contact Cindy at cmcald@mninter.net

Directions:  From 494, go South on Normandale Blvd.  At 94th Street take a right.  Go down about 2 - 3 blocks and you will see the church (won't see a sign but you cannot miss the church).  Take a left into the parking lot.  Go in the center doors, go up the stairs, place donations to the left of stairs, and the social hall will be to the right of the stairs.  We will start promptly at 9am so set your alarm clocks!  Also, there may be road work on 494 (closure or detour near Penn Ave) so plan accordingly.  If you need directions from other locations, please go to www.mapquest.com.

If you have any questions that are not answered above, contact Nancy by Tuesday Jan 15th (away from email after that) at svnancy@aol.com

Please send your RSVPs to Wendy at laxie@minn.net by Tuesday, January 15.
