Currently, there are two main project related categories:
- Project Developer- contacts agencies about volunteer needs.
- Project Team Leader- Receives e-mails from volunteers, attends event & makes sure everyone is having fun.
Other opportunities in this committee may include listening to ideas of members and formulating projects based on members' feedback.
Welcoming and Membership Committee
Since SVTC is growing so rapidly, we want to continue to make new members feel connected and assist them in getting involved in SVTC activities.
Being a Welcoming Committee member is a great way for you to meet other single people and make new friends!
We are looking for current SVTC members that will serve as greeters and assist us in welcoming new members. Here is what the role of a greeter entails:
- Greeters will receive a list of new members name and e-mail addresses on a regular basis.
- Greeters will send an e-mail to the new member welcoming that person to SVTC and invite the new member to a volunteer event, the next meeting or social.
- At the event, the greeter will make sure the new member is having fun! This way the new person immediately becomes involved in SVTC and feels connected!
Social Committee
This group is responsible for planning and organizing SVTC social events.
