Theatre ambassadors greet audience members, direct theatre
patrons, distribute general information and answer
questions. You will receive training before the event.

Attire is solid black pants and solid white top. Volunteers
may be able to view the production, provided it is not a
sell-out.

If anyone is interested in meeting prior to our shift,
Palomino has a great all day happy hour menu. I will be
there at 4:00. Parking is on your own, but there are
reduced
rate parking venues within walking distance.

"Get Lucky" Race

The mission of the Team Ortho Foundation is to improve and
enhance the lives of orthopaedic patients through a
commitment to supporting research, education, and
advancements in orthopaedic technology; and to promote good
muscular, skeletal, and joint health by encouraging an
active lifestyle including training for and participating
in
amateur athletic events.

The "Get Lucky" race is a 7k (4.3 miles) through
downtown Minneapolis, starting at 10:00 on West River Road
near the Mill City Museum. We will work at a food
tent/water stop at the start and finish of the race. We
will provide runners with water before and after the race
to
help them hydrate and re-hydrate after the race. We also
provide some quick energy foods to help them recharge after
competing.

Volunteers will set up, tear down, and manage these areas
during the race times. There is a steady flow of moving and
replenishing.

Volunteers will receive a free GET LUCKY race
hoody/sweatshirt.

The Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota is a non-profit
organization providing programs and services to families
who have a child with Down syndrome. They have also, for
the past several years, held an annual conference for young
adults and adults with Down syndrome.

The organization is seeking the assistance of 8 volunteers
to assist in the registration and check-in of conference
attendees and to assist with an exhibit table and a book
table. There will be down-time while the conference is in
session. Refreshments will be available and parking will
be provided.

"Cattle Call" is defined as an audition or
casting
call for the theater with hundreds of performers; in some
ways, you're herded like cattle -- hence the name.

The Youth Performance Company is holding its annual
fundraiser. Volunteers are needed to help with
registration and with the silent auction. Silent auction
duties include monitoring the auction and helping with
check-out. Dress is business casual and you will be
provided with beverages and snacks during your shift.

During down-time, enjoy the entertainment and musical
performances by the talented youth company.

Memorial Blood Centers has been saving lives in the
community for over 60 years as an independent, nonprofit
organization supplying life-saving blood and blood
components to over 30 hospital partners throughout Minnesota
and northwestern Wisconsin. Operating 11 donor centers and
conducting hundreds of blood drives each month, Memorial
Blood Centers also is a national leader in transfusion
medicine, providing expert technical services to clients
throughout the U.S. The mission of the organization is to
provide blood products and biomedical services to benefit
our community.

Volunteers will be assisting at the 6th annual benefit,
"What's your type?" a celebration of great
food, music, & company. We will be assisting with
registration and with auction check-out.

Bridging provides the economically disadvantaged with
quality furniture and household items, free of charge, by
effectively utilizing community resources. You can help
make
a world of difference by helping someone establish a new
home and a better life. Each year Bridging benefits
nearly
17,000 individuals who are given a sense of dignity and
stability as they rebuild their lives.

Volunteers will provide general warehouse assistance;
receiving donations, stocking shelves, and sorting through
small housewares/bed linens. This is physical work in a
warehouse setting , so dress comfortably (especially shoes,
close-toed) and in clothing that can get dusty/dirty.

You are welcome to donate furniture and household good any
time we are open. Feel free to bring a bag or carload of
items on the day of the project.

The mission of the Southdale YMCA and the YMCA of
Metropolitan Minneapolis is to develop the total

programs that build strong kids, strong families and strong
communities. The Southdale YMCA is open to all and serves
children, families, men, women and seniors in the
communities of Bloomington, Eden Prairie, Edina, Richfield
and South Minneapolis. The Southdale YMCA has a large
array
of programs that positively impact spirit, mind and body
including child care, fitness & wellness, aquatics,
youth sports, family events and more.

The 2010 Southdale YMCA Imagine Benefit will raise funds to
support our mission. This will be a really fun evening of
great music, an inspiring program, live and silent auction,
raffles, games, and local celebrities.

Volunteers will help with raffle ticket sales, auction pick
up and pay, live auction spotters and pledge
collection. This is a fun and wonderful organization that
has been helping our community for over 150 years.

Dress is Nice casual....NO gowns or tux's. Dinner
will
be provided to the volunteers.

BBBS has made a difference in the lives of local children.

lives of children. The Annual Awards Gala is the marquee
event of the year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the
Greater Twin Cities and for the community at large.

and whatever else needs to be done.
