What are the membership requirements?

The requirements to join SVTC are:

You must be 21 years of age or older.

You must affirm that you have read and understand the volunteer agreement in its entirety.

You must be single (not married).

If you agree to participate in a project, you must arrive at the project site on time with the necessary tools, (which your project leader will explain).  Also, you must stay until the completion of the project.

How do I find out about (and sign up for) upcoming projects and events?

The best way to keep informed is to check our events page regularly and to subscribe to our e-mail newsletter.

After you've become a member, you can sign up to participate in projects and events at the events page.

How do I join SVTC?

If you meet all the membership requirements and affirm that you have read and understand the volunteer agreement in its entirety, just fill out our sign up form to join our great team of volunteers!

Are there any meetings?

New members are invited to attend our monthly "new member meetings."

The purpose of these meetings is to introduce you to other members and to answer any questions you might have about SVTC.

What is Single Volunteers of the Twin Cities (SVTC)?

Single Volunteers of the Twin Cities (SVTC) is a group of busy and energetic Twin Cities' singles who enjoy making a difference for our communities and meeting new single friends. We now have over 3000 members.

SVTC acts as a sort of volunteer clearing house, providing non-profit agencies with volunteers, and providing volunteers with a convenient, fun, efficient way to volunteer.

SVTC is not a dating or matchmaking service.

What does it cost to join SVTC?

SVTC membership is free.

What about leader positions in SVTC?

We offer three different project leadership opportunities  and several committee opportunities to those who are interested.  Members are not required to be leaders or committee members.
